About the Procedure
Sculptra is injected along with several cc’s of sterile water and lidocaine. The lidocaine makes the procedure very comfortable. Over the next 24 to 48 hours, the sterile water is absorbed by your body and the product begins to stimulate the production of your own body’s collagen. To achieve maximum results, we recommend three treatment sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart.
Recovery and Typical Results
After the procedure the area injected must be gently massaged several times a day for five days. You may experience mild tenderness or bruising after the procedure, so it is best to avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours. Don’t be surprised if immediate results are not visible—this is because Sculptra works gradually over time. Visible results appear after the first treatment sessions.
